Avery Flynn is my last guest blogger in my Spring Into Summer Romance guest blog series. She’s here to talk about zombies. If Rule #1 is Run! then Rule #2 is have back-up. She wrote a fun, quick post detailing the three types of people you will need on your zombie apocalypse survival team. She also tells us a little bit about her upcoming release Jax and the Beanstalk Zombies — available July 1st. Leave a comment for a chance to win a book from my shelves (US only). Avery is also doing a Rafflecopter giveaway as part of her blog tour for Jax and the Beanstalk. Details on how to enter to win those great prizes are below. Welcome, Avery!

Jax and the Beanstalk

Everything I learned about zombies is from the movies and TV

What, you expected me to say personal encounters? 😀

That said, I do believe it’s never to early — or to weird — to start putting together your zombie apocalypse survival team. First, you need your shooter. That’s the guy or girl who has proven himself or herself with weaponry. Just like with skiing, being an expert at it on the Wii does not translate to real-world success. Next, there’s the strategist. This is the person you can trust to think beyond bullets and bayonets. Finally, you need the tension breaker. Fighting zombies all day is hell, just imagine what it does to your manicure, so you need someone on your team who can make you laugh.

So who’s on your team?

Lucky for Jax and Veronica in Jax and the Beanstalk Zombies, they aren’t facing down a zombie apocalypse just a wild band of zombies living at the top of the beanstalk that giggle as they eat brains. And while they don’t have a zombie fighting team, they have each other and hopefully that’s enough.

More about Jax and the Beanstalk Zombies

I loved this story.” – Darynda Jones, NY Times Bestselling Author

4 stars. Snappy, smart, thoroughly romantic.” – RT Book Reviews

This is Jack and the Beanstalk smexified, zombified and all grown up.” – Elisabeth Staab, Bestselling Author

The treasure hunter… Veronica Kwon is determined to be the only person in control of her destiny. After surviving a broken engagement and turning her back on her wealthy manipulative father, she started a treasure hunting company and is ready for the adventure of a lifetime.

The ex-fiance… Jax Taylor is a Southern charmer with enough sex appeal to melt the polar ice caps. He disappeared three months before their wedding and swore he’d never cross paths with Veronica again.

The magic beanstalk… Brought together again by their dying mentor, who has found three enchanted beans, Veronica and Jax agree to an uneasy partnership. Together they’ll climb a magic beanstalk to the cloud kingdom, but will their destiny be the riches they so desire, the passion they thought dead…or will the undead get them first?
